Flooring FAQ

Quality Assurance: We expect our customers to be 100% satisfied with every purchase. We offer only the highest quality carpet and flooring at prices far better than what you will find locally. Our products ship directly from our warehouse in Dalton, GA. You can count on Warehouse Carpets for the best quality and the lowest prices in town. Our Carpet has warranties that come from the manufacturing mill itself.

Customer Satisfaction: We expect our customers to be 100% satisfied with every purchase. We strive to offer you the best in customer service and top of the line products. We want you to be completely satisfied with your new carpet or flooring today, tomorrow, and in the future. Each order gets the same personal attention and customer service you deserve. Warehouse Carpets’ staff are some of the most professional and experienced people in the industry.

Installation Errors: Warehouse Carpets does not install floor covering nor do we contract with anyone who does. If Warehouse Carpets provides phone numbers for local installers it is solely the responsibility of the consumer to verify references and any insurance issues. Since we are not in your home or business actually measuring for floor covering, we can only provide an estimate based on your measurements. Floor covering should only be ordered in the quantity your installer has determined. Responsibility for shortages and consequential damages caused by shortages lies with the consumer. Pattern repeats that are necessary for some floor coverings should be determined by the installer before ordering.

Software Failure: In the event freight charges, product cost calculations, oversell of material at special in stock or clearance prices, Warehouse Carpets reserves the right to cancel the order or offer the material(s) at the corrected final order total.

Freight Policy: We use a variety of reputable shipping companies to deliver carpet and flooring to our customers. Each of these companies has their own policies regarding dates and times of delivery. We will provide you, the customer, with all the information regarding your order as soon as we place the order for shipping. Once the appropriate shipping company has picked up an order, a bill of lading number is issued. This will be given to you along with the phone number so that you can call and track your shipment if necessary. The freight companies that we use are reputable businesses and all care is taken in getting your order to you promptly and efficiently. There are certain circumstances, which are beyond the control of Warehouse Carpets such as holidays, mechanical failure, etc. Shipping companies are required to speak to the recipient of the order prior to attempting delivery to verify that someone is there to accept the order. It is the consumer's responsibility to make arrangements for delivery and if it is a residential delivery to have adequate manpower to offload the material. We offer the choice of commercial delivery (business location with loading dock and lift truck) or residential delivery.

Stock Availability: Upon request of a style and color of carpet or flooring, we will verify that the product is available at that time. If it is not, the manufacturer will provide a scheduled production date for the product. Experience tells us that in most cases, the production dates given are good dates and can be counted on. However, in rare instances, the manufacturers have found it necessary to extend the scheduled production date. Warehouse Carpets will contact you with these changes and offer you the option of waiting for the new date or changing your selection.

Acceptance of Delivery: Once an order has been delivered and accepted, the consumer will assume all responsibility for the carpet or flooring. Please take all the necessary precautions in storing your pieces until you are ready for installation. Please feel free to call our excellent staff if you or the installers have any questions prior to cutting the carpet or flooring. Once it has been cut, we are unable to accept it back at the warehouse. Claims for visible defects or damage must be noted at the time of receipt. Please examine the packages carefully. If more products are needed because of damage not noted on the delivery receipt, you must purchase the additional material and get paid for the damaged goods from the freight carrier.

Payment Policy: Payment in full is required to have any order shipped. There are no exceptions to this policy. Once payment is received by Warehouse Carpets, an order will be made to the appropriate manufacturer and your order will be filled. In most cases, orders can ship within 2-3 business days after an order is placed. Warehouse Carpets payment options include: checks, and all major credit cards such as MasterCard, Visa, and American Express

Delivery Timelines: Most orders can be expected to deliver within 7-10 Business days from the time the order is placed. You should place your order as soon as you are sure of the quantity needed. We will store your material in our warehouse as long as reasonably necessary without charge.

Shipping

All floor covering products purchased from Warehouse Carpets can be delivered to your business, home or picked up at a local freight terminal. We have arrangements with most of the major truck lines and can have your floor covering products delivered anywhere in the United States.

We will research the most economical method of shipment and supply you with an estimated cost of shipping. For shipments outside the state of Georgia, we are not required to collect a sales tax. In most cases, not having to pay sales tax will completely offset the cost of shipping your product and with the lower price you pay by ordering with Warehouse Carpets,  you will be saving significantly over purchasing from a local floor covering store.

The speed and convenience in which you receive your shipment is an additional bonus. Most orders will be shipped within 2 days (if the product is in stock) and with your price quote, you will receive an estimated time of delivery.

In many cases, we can provide you with contact information for reputable installers in your area. Most of the Installers we have relationships with will pick up your products at the local freight terminal and deliver it to your door.

Warehouse Carpets will get you the lowest price possible on any of your floor covering needs. We will make all the arrangements for getting the product shipped to you and assist you with getting your floor covering installed.

Flooring FAQ

Following are some of the most frequently asked Flooring FAQ. If you do not see the answer or question you are looking for, submit your question by using our "Contact Us" form.

Q: Who is Warehouse Carpets?

A: Warehouse Carpets is located in the Carpet Capital of the world Dalton, Georgia. Our staff consists of some of the most experienced and knowledgeable floor covering professionals in the industry. We have been supplying customers with quality floor covering products from all the most trusted manufacturers in the industry since 1977. For more information on Warehouse Carpets please visit the home page.

Q: How can I be sure the product I order will be the product that gets shipped to me?

A: Check out our "customer reviews" and “Testimonials” left by our customers. This should give a good indication as to how we conduct our business. We stand behind our products and processes. Though highly unlikely, if you should receive a product different from what you ordered, we’ll cover any additional cost to get the right product to you.

Q: What if I need to contact you?

A: You can contact us by email, telephone or you can visit our store if you are in the area. Visit our website for all our contact information. As a general business practice, the salesperson you initially speak with will provide with all of their contact information.

Q: Why do you post some prices and not post others?

A: On some items, manufacturers have minimum pricing requirements that restrict the pricing we can display. This is to protect local dealers that have a limited customer base. If an item does not have a price, typically it means that we can offer you a much lower price than the manufacturer will allow us to display. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the most competitive pricing on all of the products we sell.

In addition, there are many variables that can change the price of floor covering products. The quantity of an order can impact the overall price due to multiple price levels. Shipping rates from state to state also impact our prices. Even the price of oil has a direct impact on the current price of the carpet.

For the past 18 months, we have experienced price increases about every 3 months. To get the best and lowest current pricing it is much better for you to call us and then we can get you the best shipping rates too.

Q: What should I expect after placing my order?

A: After you place your order you will be emailed an order confirmation, then your sales consultant will contact you either by phone or email with the tracking information.

- Receiving your order - you have 3 options on how you can receive your flooring

  1. you or your installer can pick it up at the nearest terminal of the delivering carrier,
  2. your installer or builder can have it delivered to their warehouse if applicable, or
  3. you can have it delivered directly to your home.

Please note *When it is delivered to your home this is a curbside delivery. Freight companies will not pull into your driveway or on to your property.  Freight carriers charge an extra fee for this service. This extra fee is for bringing their equipment into a residential neighborhood. Also, please remember that offloading is your responsibility and the driver is not required to help you. Depending on the size of the product, you will need anywhere from 2-5 people to help unload your shipment without the risk of damage.

- Inspecting your order - You should always inspect your product before and after unloading for damage. Thoroughly inspect your flooring for any damage and check that the quantity is correct. If you do find any damage go ahead and accept the shipment but make sure you note it in detail on the receiving documents that the shipment was damaged along with how it was damaged and the amount that was damaged.

Q: What if I place an order and I get the wrong item, can I return it?

A: If the mistake is ours, we will cover the expense to return and ship you the correct products. If you ordered the wrong product we will do our best to get you the right product at the lowest cost to you. Some items are non-returnable such as Laminate and hardwood trim pieces, adhesives, cleaners, and underlayment.

Likewise, if you should inadvertently order the wrong item, the flooring could be returned, but you would be responsible for the return freight and any manufacturer's restocking fee. If we, or the manufacturer, send you the wrong item, no extra fees would apply. We would make arrangements for you to send the material back to us and reship the correct item to you. But it must be unopened and unaltered. Plus a reshipment cannot be made until the returning freight carrier has picked up the original shipment.

Q: What if have material left over, can I return it?

A: It is normally advisable that you keep the extra material in case you have an accident in the future. With carpet, as long as the manufacturer’s minimum return requirements are met you can return it. Hardwood, laminate, and tile also have minimum return quantities. You should discuss this with your sales rep when placing your order. You would be responsible for returned freight and we cannot accept opened or damaged material. We take great care when shipping to you and you would need to take the same care when returning to prevent damage in transit.

Q: Can I pick up my order at your warehouse and save shipping charges?

A: People pick up their orders at our warehouse on a daily basis. Our warehouse hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM Eastern time. Keep in mind that you do not have to pay shipping charges but we are obligated to charge Georgia Sales Tax on non-interstate shipments.
